Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue

In the western wedding culture, it is a tradition to get something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.

The 'old' will symbolise the 'previous' life and ties with families. A piece of jewellery, or family heirloom is usually used for this.

The 'new' means the journey after the wedding, into the new life.

Why something borrowed? The newly weds will have good fortune if they manage to borrow something from a couple who is happily married. Blessings in other words.

And finally, the 'Blue' is thought to ward off evil spirits as it has long been associated with loyalty and devotion. A hinge of Blue flowers to your bouquet or table arrangements can easily fulfill this requirement!

Nice little testimonial for Hanabee!

Very honoured to have a little testimony from Angeline, a member of the BNI- excellence chapter. She was one of the ladies whom I had the privilege of making a wrist band for. :) Thank you Angeline! :)

Wedding head dress and wrist bands

Wedding themed party on BNI Night- 6 September 2012.

As I was part of the Excellence chapter and our group theme was Wedding, I took up the honour to beautify our ladies and gentlemen.

made some wrist bands too. Had blings for the bracelet which was loved by all the females!

I made a total of 9 wrist bands and 5 head dresses, not including 16 corsages for the guys. It was a long process because I had to accomplish all by myself. Nevertheless, it was truly a great experience as I could produce designs that made my wearers beautiful and happy!
